outline symbols

My outline symbols-(+-) do not have the squares around them. They are shown
in the appropriate places. I have restarted the project and the problem still
occurs.
Any ideas?

Hi Miguel,

Do they still work? If they are still working, and assuming you're
running XP or Vista, did you change the Theme (display properties >
Themes or Appearance) recently?
I know some themes just make the boxes almost entirely blend with the
backgdound.
