Outllok 2003 working with office 97

For some reason (I don't know why) one of my offices
needs to keep office 97 running on there machines, but
have been approved to upgrade outlook to 2003. Is there
any limitations or issues that may arise from this. I
have been having trouble locating documentation of this
obscure matter.

AFAIK the only thing you will not be able to do is to use Word as the email
editor.
