Outllook 2003 gets duplicate email

Hi guys,

I just installed Outlook 2003 and am using it as a POP
client - I have two pop accounts and my options set are:
leave a copy of messages on the server and delete
messages on the server once they are deleted from the
Deleted Items folder. Each time outlook starts,
it "redownloads" all the items in "Deleted Items" folder
and sometimes some random recent mail which it has
already received but is still on the server.

This seems pretty "basic" problem to have been tested. I
am surprised by this bug actually! I can reproduce it all
the time. Is this a known problem and is there any
workaround?

Only reason it gets fixed is because I delete the
duplicate email which makes Outlook delete the actual
message which I want left on the server and next time
there is no message to retrieve. This is really annoying
bug and I have lost a huge amount of email which I wanted
to be kept on the server.

Could you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file (preferably as an attachment)
after you've done a few send/receives in which this happens? I use this
feature all the time and it always works. I'd like to see what's happening
on your system.
