Outlook 2000 - Contact Display Names

I am running Outlook 2000 and it appears that, when I have
multiple e-mail addresses for a contact and try to select
one of those addresses it bypasses the "disply" name from
the properties dialogue box and inserts a generic
ContactName(email-2) in the to field. Is there anyway to
resolve this issue so I can have the actual "display" name
appear in the to field?
