We have noticed that Outlook 2000 doesn't respond while
receiving messages. This is especially aggravating when
typing an email when receiving an email with a large
attachment. Keystrokes typed don't appear until after the
message has been received, which can be 30 seconds or more
depending on the size of the email. The problem seems to
be company wide. We've noticed Outlook XP responds
similarly, but the pause is only for a second, no matter
the size of the message being received.
Systems tested are fully patched with all Windows and
Office updates and service packs. The OS's are Windows
2000 and XP Pro. We are running Exchange 5.5 sp4 on NT4
sp6a in a NT4 domain environment.
Does anyone know of a fix for this? Thanks.
