Outlook 2000 Error

When on of our faculty attempts to delete an e-mail from
her Outlook 2000 Inbox she receives the following
message, "Messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If this problem persist, restart Outlook." She is
configured with a POP3 account.

Any suggestions to resolve this problem would be greatly
appreciated,
