Outlook 2000 fails to close

When closing, the "Please wait while ...closes" remains
and will not go away... the task bar continues to show it
opened and minimized. If another incident of Outlook is
opened then closed, it also remains on the task bar.
Task Manager shows the corresponding number of Outlook
app's opened, and it is OLNY through the Task Mgr that
they can be closed.

I tried the "Repair Office Installation" option from the
Office 2k CD, but still have the problem. What next!?
