outlook 2000-location of outbox and contacts

Is there a default location of the inbox and contact list. I don't know the
extension, and when I do a search for "inbox" , nothing shows up.

All Outlook items (mail, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Calendar, everything) are
stored in a single file whose type is ".pst". You can have more than one
PST, all containing their own sets of folders.

The data is in a .pst file unless you're using an Exchange mailbox. See
