Outlook 2000 problem

I have had weird thing, that is, my emails I have already
recived just dissappeared.
This happens when I have the preview pane on. If an inbox
email is previewed
and I haven't opened it but move on to another email to
preview it, the
first email disappears. It does not show up in the deleted
category nor is
it saved anywhere, it just disappears. What can I do to
prevent this? Anybody has an idea? Please help me.

I hate to suggest something this simple, but have you got the view set to Unread
Messages? A message that has appeared in the preview pane counts as read... so
that would account for it.

It sounds to me as if you have configured your view to show unread messages
only. See if you have.
