Gordon

I have outlook 2000 and would like to not have it auto send out when I hit
the send button on a new message. I want it to goto the outbox untill I hit
send.. How do I set that up?

Thanks

Answer depends on which mail support mode you are using, what type of mail
account you use, and what you connection type is.

Then you'll have to set Outlook to "Work Offline" in the File menu.

I odn't see that option ....

I have just re-installed my whole o/s and this is the only thing that has
changed .. befor it used to wait untill I told it to send ...

Highly unlikely. You've left something out.
LAN connections always send immediately.
Only Phone Line connections would wait.
