Outlook 2000 - where are the emails stored.

Hello,

I am working on a friend's comptuer with Outlook Express. They have
all their emails in folders - I think they are on the HD, but they are
not stored in a .pst file. Where else could they be stored?

I do no think they are stored on the server because there are too many
emails with huge files. Where are these files?

I want to archive them to a CD. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tmuld.

Tools-Options-Maintenance-Store Folder will tell you where they are.
For more info on backing up OE go here:
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/index.htm

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!

Thank you very much!

And I made an error - it is only Outlook 2000 I am concerned about,
not Outlook Express.

My apologies.

Right Click on outlook Today, choose Properties for Outlook Today and click
on "Advanced". On the general tab, the box named "File" will show you the
location of the pst file.
