Outlook 2000, XP: Messages opening slooowly.

I still can't find an answer to this, would love some
ideas. Outloook 2000, Windows XP Pro (and I'm NOT also
runnind Microsoft Messenger): All messages take about 10
to 15 seconds to open when I click on them -- whether
they're in the inbox, previously opened, or in the deleted
folder. I've searched the knowledge base -- nothing. Has
anyone out there seen this problem and have some idea of
what's up? It's a real nuisance.
