I just love verizon customer service, don't you?
Try this:
From your desktop, right click on the Outlook icon, and
select properties. This should launch the email account
setup dialog.
Your post office is probably the POP3 server. For
verizon, that is incoming.verizon.net. Your Mailbox is
probably your gte account login and email login names &
password. The "SMTP" server is for outgoing mail, which
verizon has named, strangely enough, outgoing.verizon.net
Try setting up a new email account using these steps, and
see what happens.
Best regards, good luck.
