When trying to "Reply To" or "Reply To All" messages I am not able to add an
attachment to the message that I am replying to. What happens is it sends the
message, but it removes the added attachment. ANy suggestions of how to fix
this?

Does the attachment show in your sent items folder?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, jkmcdan asked:

Then what format is your mail going out in? RTF? If yes, then change to
plain text and see if the attachment can be received by your addressees.
Also, if you are using Word, use Outlook editor instead.

None of these changes affect the outcome. Note that when the reply message is
sent it does not always strip the attachment. This happens sometimes.

Then what is the common condition when it does happen?

I have found nothing common, just that it eventually will work (same e-mail).
The workaround is the copy and paste method in a new e-mail.
