Outlook 2002 and spam mail - please help

B

Bluemin

I used this help forum the other day for the first time
and stupidly put my actual email address in the senders
info. Since using the forum I am constantly receiving
spam for mainly microsoft products but there is no reply
address with an instruction to delete me from future
mailings. Can anyone help me stop this?
Thanks

1. Never use your mail address - use a throwaway address or munge your
addy.

2. Use rules to delete the mail.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer

You could try a program called MailWasher.
http://www.mailwasher.net/
There is a free version available. Also, don't try to use any links in those
emails to be removed from mail lists as more often than not they don't do
anything other than confirm your address is active
