outlook 2002 becomes non-responsive

Having a problem on laptop and desktop both with Outlook
becoming non-responsive within 5-10 minutes of opening.
This appears to have started on both computers shortly
after updating Windows automatically on 12/2/03. If I
reinstall Windows (XP pro) will this fix the problem? I
have already tried re-installing and repairing Outlook
and it changes nothing.
