Outlook 2002 - can't send e-mails

Errors 0x80042109 and 0x800CCC0E connecting to mail1.sympatico.com.
Can't ping server, can't telnet to server. Can't telnet to other SMTP
server either.

Tried the laptop - doesnt work either - got a new error number if that
helps
anyone figure this out "0x800CCC92"

Definitely sounds like you should be talking to the people who give you
Internet Access. Two different machines, can't telnet to port 25 of a very
accessible SMTP server on the Internet, this is very unlikely a Microsoft
problem.

It depends. What exactly are you doing that defines 'go online'? Are you
talking about Outlook, or ...

I'm usually on sympatico's "get e-mail" site when i get the "runtime" line
errors

For anyone having this problem - upgrading to the new hm sympatico platform
seems to have resolved the issue
