Outlook 2002 "folder" and "import and export" menu items disabled

Hi.

I have a problem in outlook 2002. The "file" menu items "folder" and
"import and export" are always disabled (greyed out).

I am running outlook 2002 installed as part of an office XP professional
install on a windows XP professional machine.

If I start outlook in safe mode, the functions become available and work ok.

Any ideas anyone as to why these features are being permanently disabled?

Have you tried resetting your Tool Bar already? If that doesn't work locate
outcmd.dat and rename it to outcmd.old. This will completely reset your Tool
Bars.

sounds like your profile is damaged or the installation is bad, backup your
data and reinstall office.
