outlook 2002 hyperlinks in received e-mail

When I open an e-mail with a link to a website and click
the link, I get the windows explorer box opening with the
following message "the path 'mconner' does not exist or
is not a directory" How do I correct this problem so I
can access the links in my e-mail? I'm running windows xp
