I have Outlook 2002 running Windows xp home. My work
recently started using Microsoft Exchange server. I
tried to enter the exchange server into outlook
from "Mail" in the control panel. It would not except my
username, so I deleted the entire entry in the email
section of outlook. Now, I have a small icon in the
lower right hand corner of the status bar that looks like
some sort of connection icon with a little red x on it.
Outlook starts normally, but does not send/receive, even
when I try manually. No error message--it just doesn't
do anything. All the email accounts are configured
properly and when I check "test settings" everything
works, but somehow I am locked out of send/receive. How
do I fix this?
Thanks.
