outlook 2002 startup filter

i have a spam filter, k9, which puts k9 in the titles of emails. i then get
outlook under the 'rules wizard' to filter all k9 into deleted box.
this works ok except at startup, when they all go into my inbox!
it worked ok with outlook express.
any ideas??
