Outlook 2003 and Faxing

I have a Windows 2003 server running the fax service and
sharing the fax printer. On my WinXP Pro workstation, I
have installed the shared fax. I'm using Outlook 2003 to
send faxes. I haven't done much with it yet, but the
process appears to work properly. My question is regarding
selecting the recipients from Outlook.

If I create new mail, select the Fax Transport as the
sending account, and choose all recipients from a contact
list, I get two of every person in the recipient list -
once for their email and once for their fax. Of course, I
can CTRL-Click my way down the list and pick only the FAX
entry for each contact, but with 200 contacts, that's time
consuming. If I just accept the fact that I picked each
person twice, it appears to send properly to their faxes,
but I get a message back in Outlook about the Fax
Transport not being able to transfer the email messages.

So, what's the best way to send a fax to a large list of
contacts, using only their fax, not their email as well?

Outlook has always displayed all electronic address in the Outlook Address
book. There is no way you could select all recipients in the Outlook Address
Book and expect to get only fax recipients. Why not create a Distribution
List of Fax recipients?

Can I create a distribution list of fax recipients without
duplicating entries? In other words if I have you in an
address book with your email address, would I have to re-
enter you in another address book with just a fax number?

I've never used Outlook, so I'm not familiar with what
it's always done. Maybe the faxing capability was intended
only for casual use. A filter for address type, or even
something as simple as a sort option in the contact window
would help.

OK, answered my own question there. Sorry, I'm new to
Outlook. A distribution list will probably suffice for me.
It still doesn't appear to be ideal, since I'll have to
remember to add people to the distribution list as well as
putting them in the contact list. It would be a nice
future adjustment in Outlook if the you could send a fax
and it would only go to fax recipients (or possibly a
configuration option).

That's correct - there's no way to get only the Fax recipients without
duplicating the entries. But what you suggest below is a good idea - maybe
if I select a group or a DL, send a fax only to all the members that have a
fax number in them.
