Outlook 2003 and Inbox

I have various rules setup to move messages to other folders in my inbox.
The problem is that as new email arrives the view changes back to the INBOX
and marks the moved message as "read". This actions sometimes makes me miss
seeing messages alltogether. Is there a way to NOT make Outlook change the
view back to the inbox after message rules have moved the email to another
folder?
