Outlook 2003 Best Pratices for send/receive settings

I need some help with Outlook 2003 Send/receive settings
for remote/mobile users.
I can not find any best practices anywhere.
Hope you guys can help.

Enable cached Exchange mode and if desired configure different settings for
on-line and off-line use.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish and what are the needs for the
mobile suers? Is Exchange 2003 available? You should then take a look at
configuring RPC over HTTP as well on the Exchange server.
