"RECEIVED" column date is set to "None" in Outlook 2003

Guys,
I need your help with what is probably a very basic question.

A friend is running Outlook 2003. For some reason he has opted to use the
"received" column (via the FIELD CHOOSER)in his Sent Items folder. This makes
no sense to me - what does it achieve?
You send an email & can check the time it was sent via the "SENT" column in
Sent Items - is this correct?

The "RECEIVED" column is not an indicator as to when an email was delivered
to its destination - correct?
Sorry guys if this is an obvious one. Just not thinking straight at the
moment.

Also - to compound matters, some of the dates in the "RECEIVED" column
within the Sent Items folder have no date linked to them - they are set to
NONE. It's an intermittant issue. Any ideas?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Take care & all the very best
Johhny

You are correct, the Received Date is not an indicator of when the receiver
got your sent message. In general Outlook will stamp the same date/time for
the Received date for Sent Items.

Without knowing any further details, it is hard to say why the received date
shows up as "None" for some of your messages. These could be imported,
scanned with an integrated virus scanner or simply not supported by the mail
account type that is being used.

Roady,

Sincere thanks for coming back so quickly. I'm going to check a couple of
affected emails (i.e. date set to "None") again to provide you with more
INFO. Will come back shortly. Again - Thanks
