Outlook 2003 Cached Mode Security

Hello,

Do we need to secure this file using EFS or is the cached
mode .ost alreay encrypted some how?

It is encrypted already and if someone "steels" the ost-file it is very hard
to open as it is orphaned. Using EFS is always a good solution if you want
to have things more secure.

I believe the default compressible encryption. But this doesn't prevent
anyone from opening it in Outlook once they've got physical access to the
file. Also password protection is easy to divert. Limiting acces to the file
with NTFS permissions and use EFS is the best way to go if you want to be
secure.
