Outlook 2003 delete button issue

I had to reinstall Outlook 2003. After reinstalling I
noticed that when I open a message in the inbox and click
on the delete button on the toolbar the message closes
and I am back at the inbox again. Before I use to click
on the delete button and the next message would show up
in that same window instead of reverting back to the main
inbox window. Is there a way to get my command back that
allowed the next message to be displayed when I click on
the X delete button. There are arrows on the toolbar
that allow you to go to the previous or next message. I
know it worked before. Thanks.

Tools=>options->email options... "after moving or deleting..." select your
option from the dropdown.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
