Outlook 2003 does not delete emails off of server

I just installed Office 2003 and have learned that
Outlook does not delete emails off of the Comcast server
even after I have deleted them several times within
Outlook.

Go to Tools, Email Accounts, Change, More Settings, Advanced. Make sure that
"Leave a copy of messages on the server" is NOT checked.
