Outlook 2003 freezing

J

Every time my boss sends out an email with a ton of people in the BCC area
and he hits "send", Outlook freezes during spell check of the body of the
email. Luckily enough, by the time he comes to find me, it takes a few
min. so it saves a copy of his email in Drafts. The last time this
happened, I noticed that (CTRL+ALT+DEL) showed that Outlook was NOT even
running under the "Application" tab. It's not that is say "not responding"
it's not there at all. Yet in the Process tab, OUTLOOK.EXE is at 99%. I
try killing some other services to see if that helps, but it doesn't.
I kill outlook, restart outlook. Open the Drafts folder, open the email
that it froze on, and hit send. It goes out just like it should have in the
first place.

What's up with this??
