Outlook 2003 hangs -- does MS care?

I am experiencing the same problem that many other people
have experienced in this newsgroup. When closing Outlook
2003, the process does not end, leaving the icon in the
systray. The next instance of Outlook starts another
process, which also hangs when closed. The only way to
resolve is by rebooting the computer, or manually ending
the processes in task manager.

I don't see any reply from MS in any of the posts related
to this issue. Is this just accepted behavior of the app?
