Outlook 2003 - Hotmail Check on Startup

Any advice would be appreciated.
Currently, even though I've unchecked and disabled just about everything I
can find in the Send / Receive group options for Hotmail,
it logs in and retrieves Hotmail when Outlook opens. It doesn't access
Hotmail during a 'normal' mail check of my POP3 account
(which is what I prefer).
How can I stop it from checking Hotmail on startup?
