How do I enable message threading in Outlook 2003?

You can try using on of the 'by conversation' folder views.

here are the settings I used for message threading:

Outlook 2003: View | Arrange By | Custom

Group by:
[x] Automatically group according to arrangement (grayed out)
Conversation - Ascending

Sort:
Received - Ascending
Conversation Index - Ascending
