How can I make a shortcut to a local folder in Outlook 2003 ?

Can I move/copy mails to this folder through the shortcut ?

Will mail-search in outlook work on these local folders as well ?

Thanks,
Michael

You mean a local folder as in a folder on your hard drive? Create a shortcut
to the folder on the Windows desktop, then drag it to the Shortcuts
navigation pane. You should be able to drag Outlook items to it to save them
to that folder.

Outlook doesn't search anything but its own folders.

In Outlook 2003 dragging desktop shortcuts to the shortcuts navigation
pane does not work!

I had no problem dragging a shortcut to the shortcuts pane. Drop the desktop
shortcut onto the name of the shortcuts group that you want to hold it.
Clicking the shortcut opens the file or folder that the shortcut points to.

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.
