Outlook 2003 new installation

Just completed loading MS Office 2003 on Windows 2000.
Everything worked fine until I tried to send an email,
when the following message appeared: "Can't contact LDAP
Directory Server (81)."

Searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base yielded no
information (that I can find).

Can anyone help?
