outlook 2003 no longer shows number of messages to receive

Hi
I have jsut moved to outlook 2003 and it no longer shows
how many messages it is receiveing. Does anyone know if
there is an option I can change to make it do so.

It shows it in the status bar on the right side. It also shows you the
download progress in MB's.

If you don't see the status bar go to View-> Status Bar
