Outlook 2003 POP3 does not receive e-mail overnight

I am trying to receive e-mail overnight from a pop3 server and when I
arrive in the morning, I need to move the mouse to wake up the PC and
then a flood of e-mails come in. I have checked the hibernation
settings and they are all set to never, except for the monitor which I
have shut off after an hour.

Normally, I can receive e-mails all night if I leave Outlook up and
running with the monitor set to turn off. Any suggestions? I am
running XP SP2. Thanks,
