Outlook 2003 Send/ Receive

I have tried to set outlook up to auto send/receive every
5 minutes but it just does not work!!!

I Have tried the FAQ's but still no luck.

I select the options for scheduled send/receive but I
still have to manually press send/receive button every
time to check mail. Even when I go into outlook I have to
press the button manually to check for new mail.

Any help would be appreciated.

in your connection or in the way you connect to the internet i.e look the are 3 option , allways dial my connection , never dial and another, dial whenever a connection is not present , go to tools -options-connections check of
allways dial my conection
