Outlook 2003 & Yahoo POP Duplicate messages

I have had Outlook 2003 set up with my Yahoo Mail POP access for 2
years with no problems. For the past week it has gone
haywire--downloading duplicate, triplicate, etc.. copies of the same
messages over and over again. I have removed the Email account and
started fresh several times but it is still downlaoding the same
duplicate, triplicate messages. What should I do? Is there an Outlook
file that I can recreate to start fresh? I tested the Yhaoo acount
with Outlook Express and it works fine so it is not Yahoo's problem.
Any ideas?
