Outlook 2003

When Outlook starts it doesn't check for mail. At work I'm familiar with it
checking on startup. It also doesn't check every 5 minutes like I have it
set to. It will however check manually. I use AVG Free Edition. Does that
hinder. Whatzup?

Have you double checked all the settings here: Tools menu > Send/Receive >
Send/Receive Settings > Define Send/Receive groups?
