Outlook 2007 Mobile Service - Exchange 2000?

Can anyone confirm that the Outlook 2007 mobile service does NOT work with
Exchange 2000?

I try installing the mobile service in Outlook 2007, yet after the install
Outlook 2007 will not launch at all (including safe mode). My early guess is
that the Mobile Service does not work with Exchange 2000.
