Outlook 2007 search failure

I am having a problem with the search feature in Outlook 2007. No search I
enter returns any results. I have WDS search installed and configured to
index Outlook. The index has been rebuilt and says no items left. I have
tried the old fashioned earch CTRL+SHIFT+F and this doesn't return anything
either. Any sugestions.

XP Pro SP2 fully updated
Outlook 2007 Fully updated.Connected to MS Exchange 2003.

I posted the same problem, and someone wrote back to me saying the same
thing happened to him, and he's read many similar posts about the matter. He
suspects Microsoft screwed up with a recent software patch. If you find out
anything, could you kindly let me know? Much appreciated.

Just went through this discussion list, and there was a big talk about it a
couple weeks ago. A guy named David Kirk wrote this suggestion, and many said
it worked for them. I might wait until Microsoft officially acknowledges the
problem and says what to do, but here's what David said:

This was the solution for me. Just delete the files as indicated, reboot and
let it start to index all over again:

Delete all files and folders in these directories:

C:\programdata\microsoft\search\data\temp
C:\programdata\microsoft\search\data\applications\windows

I'm having the same problem. Search worked beautifully for the first six
months after I upgraded to 2007, and I loved the new feature. But the last
few weeks it won't bring up anything newer than 2006. I was frustrated enough
to look for a solution. I hope you'll let us know if the fix you copied here
works.

In the meantime, maybe someone from Big M will read this and send the
problem out to be fixed and make a patch available.
