Is there much difference in Outlook XP than 97? Please explain.

Outlook 97 is very old and in today's world is basically insecure.

Other than that, they provide the same basic functionality with Outlook
XP being a different interface to some extent. Look at Microsoft's web
site or glance at a book about Outlook XP to see for yourself. See

Microsoft's Office Website will have comparisons of the features. The
biggest drawback to Outlook 97 for me is that you can't authenticate to the
outgoing server. Thus Outlook 97 is unusable for sending mail via services
like Comcast or SBC. It will, however, receive messages just fine using
those services.
