Hi Everyone.

I am having a problem with Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003 Server 2003 (as
part of SBS). A user needs access two mailboxes simultaneously, which is
easy enough to do. BUT they also need to be able to send from both mailboxes
as though they are that mailbox. Issue is that when mail is sent from
mailbox1 it is received correctly, however if mail is sent from mailbox2 it
always comes up as from mailbox1 on behalf of mailbox2.

I have checked both client side permissions in outlook and server side
permissions in Exchange via the ADUC console and all looks well.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

No permissions should be set in Outlook - in Exchange, he needs full mailbox
rights to the "secondary" mailbox - and also Send As rights. No Send on
Behalf of, anywhere.

I have the same problem. I've given them full mailbox access through Active
Directory (Exchange Advanced > Mailbox Rights) and Send On Behalf rights
(Exchange General Delivery Options) but can't find anywhere that with Send As
rights. Where do I find this? What I have still comes up with the 'on
behalf of' bit which we don't want.

Thanks,

Lizzy.

Hi,

You find the send as permissions on the security tab of the user objects.

My issue turned out to be that that option isn't there by default - I had to
do View > Advanced Features first, then I found it. Thanks.
