Outlook and stupid user

I

ivar hove

hello

I got home with my computer from work yesterday. And since it was my
last day at work, I decided to add my home mail adress as an acount in
outlook. But then i also as the fool i am removed my work account,
which led to that all the adresses and mail was lost from outlook. I
can still see the file outlook.ost (+400meg) in explorer, but i'm not
able to open it or import it into another mail program or outlook.
Probably because it something with exchange server or something?

I've got most of the mail, in an archive so my concern is my personal
adressbook that i belive is hiding inside this file. Has someone a tip
how to get access to this file and retrive my personal adresses.

regards
Ivar

Hi - you have a reply to your identical post in m.p.exchange.clients. Please
don't
multipost - if you need to post to multiple groups, it's best to crosspost
instead, by posting a single message to a handful of relevant groups
(separate the NG names with commas) so that everyone can follow the thread.
Thanks :)

See http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm

That said, since you've essentially orphaned your OST file, you may need to
resort to www.exchangerecovery.com unless your former employer still has
your mailbox intact and doesn't mind exporting it to a PST for you....since
it's so recent, they may be willing to help.

If you have opened Outlook and removed the Exchange profile after leaving
the organization, your connection to the .ost file is lost.

You should have exported all of your items from the Exchange mailbox to a
..pst while disconnected from the network.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
