Outlook as address book in Word

The process I used for making Outlook 98 the Address Book
for Word 97 is not working for Word and Outlook 2003.
Before I could click the address book button on the Word
toolbar and the Outlook folders would pop up.

In Outlook, going to Tools, Options, Other and checking
the box: Make Outlook the default program for email . . .
doesn't work. More is needed. What?

Go to Control Panel | Internet Options, click the Programs tab, and make
sure Outlook is set as the default program for "Contact List".
