I am baffled and my ISP doesn't know either so I hope someone here can help.
I am using Outlook 2002.
Sometimes after I have received an email I get an error box requesting I
enter a network password. If I press cancel I get the following message:
"Task 'My Account Name - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92)
: 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and
password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.
The server responded: -ERR [IN-USE] Unable to lock maildrop' "
I have contacted my isp who suggested I disable my email scanning on Norton
AV, this has not made a difference.
I have no other connections trying to access the server. It does not happen
everytime, but it does happen frequently. It does NOT happen in outlook
express. I have recently introduced a wireless access point (about 2 weeks
ago), but only for internet sharing.
This has only started yesterday and I am at a loss as to what to do.
Help would be most appreciated.
