Outlook attachments

I use Outlook to send/receive emails, and have been
having problems sending emails with attachments. I have
updated all the service packs, have worked with my
computer manufacturer to remedy situation, and have also
worked with my internet service provider to remedy
situation. None of these has been successful in getting
rid of the problem. I have Windows XP, and Office XP.
The Outlook version is the version that came with Office
XP.

Emails with attachments don't send. I get an error that
reads Task ' - Sending' reported error
(0x8004210B) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a
response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue
to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Give it another go after you recreate (or add a second one for testing
purposes) the mailprofile in Control Panel -> Mail -> button Show Profiles
