Outlook AutoComplete

Hi,

I had a very odd problem today and I was wondering if anyone knows why this
would happen. I have an Active Directory network of 180 PCs using Exchange
5.5 and Outlook 2002. I don't know why this happened but last week a users'
PC was looking for the AutoComplete file as being C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.NK2. This
week Outlook is looking for the same AutoComplete file as being C:\Documents
and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Microsoft
Outlook.NK2.

Does anyone know why Outlook would change the name of the file it is looking
for?

Thanks in Advance,
JeffH

Each mail profile has its own .nk2 file. The symptoms indicate the user is working with a different mail profile.

Is it possible that the original profile became corrupt and that this is a
newly create profile even though it is using the same name? Is the an
identifier that is working in conjunction with the name of this new profile?

Thanks again,
JeffH
