Outlook button does not work

I support several local county employees. We have recently rolled out Office
2007. For a large percentage of our users, the MS Office button does not
work. When you click on it, it blinks but never opens. If you double click,
the application closes.

We have run detect and repair on several workstations, and it does nothing.
Several posts here suggest opening in safe mode to see if the problem
persists, but gives no clue as to the next step.

Question 1. How can I get it to work?

Question 2. How do I access the various menus if I can't use office button

He makes no mention of Outlook only Office. I have the same issue; Word and
Excel.

FWIW Detect and Repair is a feature of Office 2003. Perhaps you didn't
remove Office 2003 before installing 2007? If you did, then try
Microsoft Office Diagnostics. (found in Microsoft Office Tools folder
under Microsoft Office)
