Outlook Cannot Read Recovered Outlook.PST File

E

Elliot King

A piece of e-mail was infected with a virus so my entire outlook.pst
was quarentined. Following the advice of several people, I turned off
my anti virus and recovered the file so I could open it and delete the
infected e-mail. When I tried to open outlook.pst, Outlook returned a
message that said it was not a personal file folder PST file. I then
ran scanpst, which said that it saw two folders in Outlook.pst and
made some repairs. I tried to open it again and a Recovered Personal
File Folder opened but it could not open any of the folders, such as
the inbox. I ran scanpst again and this time it saw four folders but
not errors. I tried to open the file again with Outlook but it still
couldn't see any of the folders. I am running Outlook 2000 on ME.
Anyway suggestions?

Thank you.
